New airport charges to be introduced from 1 January 2026
The annual process for setting airport charges for 2026 has now been completed. The new charges have been decided by Swedavia following consultations with airlines and ground handling agents. As a result, Swedavia will adjust the airport charges, corresponding to an average charge level increase of 15.3 SEK per departing passenger in 2026.
The Group Management for Swedavia AB, as the managing body* of the common charging system for Swedavia’s Airport Network, has decided as of 1 January 2026:
1) To increase the average charge level at Swedavia’s airports by 15.3 SEK per departing passenger, resulting in a new average charge level at 185.6 SEK per departing passenger. The increase is carried out by:
a) Cost related adjustments in PRM-, Ground Handling Infrastructure, Baggage Facility-, and Terminal Navigation Charges,
b) Adjusted Passenger Charge at GOT, BMA, LLA, UME, KRN, OSD, VBY and RNB,
c) Adjusted Take-off Charge at all airports.
2) And to implement the following adjustments, applied from 1 January 2026 until otherwise decided:
d) Structurally adjust the Take-off Charge at all airports
e) Introduce a Dedicated Check-in Charge at ARN
f) Introduce lower Passenger Charge for Satellite Terminal at ARN
g) Introduce lower Passenger Charge for non-voluntary remote traffic at ARN
h) Introduce Flight Volume Incentive at all airports
i) Introduce Transfer Growth Incentive at ARN
j) Adjust terms and conditions of Passenger Increase Program (PIB) and to extend PIB for intercontinental traffic
k) Perform yearly adjustment of the CO2 Emission Charge values
l) Pause Traffic Risk Sharing and Investment Risk Sharing programs
The adjustments will be reflected in updated Airport Charges & Conditions of Services, which will be published on swedavia.com prior to the introduction on 1 January 2026.
