Swedavia to apply new airport charges from January 1, 2025

Swedavia has completed the annual process for airport charges applicable for 2025. As of January 1, 2025, Swedavia’s airport charges will increase with 14.4 SEK per departing passenger. The new charges are decided by Swedavia following consultations with airlines and ground handling agents.

As a result of the decided adjustments, the average charge level per departing passenger will increase with 14.4 SEK. This results in an average charge per departing passenger of 173.4 SEK at Swedavia’s airports in 2025.

The following adjustments will be made to Swedavia’s airport charges as of January 1, 2025:

  1. Cost related adjustments in PRM Charge, Ground Handling Infrastructure Charges, Baggage Facility Charges and Terminal Navigation Charges at all airports,
  2. Increased Passenger Charge at Bromma Stockholm Airport, Malmö Airport, Luleå Airport, Umeå Airport, Åre Östersund Airport, Kiruna Airport, Visby Airport and Ronneby Airport,
  3. Increased Take-off Charge at Stockholm Arlanda Airport, Göteborg Landvetter Airport, Luleå Airport and Umeå Airport,
  4. Updated Baggage Facility Charge, now debited per checked-in item,
  5. Adjusted terms and conditions for Passenger Increase Bonus, Volume Discount and Cargo Incentive programs,
  6. Recalibrated CO2 Emission Charge values. Otherwise, the charge remains with the same conditions as applied for 2024.

Swedavia will also continue the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Incentive for volumes exceeding the national mandate.

The changes will be reflected in an updated price list published on swedavia.se prior to the introduction on January 1, 2025.
