The investment in strengthened public transport together with Skånetrafiken is very welcome. The expanded public transport service to and from the airport contributes to Swedavia’s ambitious sustainability target of fossil-free domestic travel from door to door by 2030, says Nils Funke, Airport Director at Malmö Airport, Swedavia.

Connections with trains to Svedala

Bus route 147 is timed to coincide with train arrivals at Svedala station, allowing passengers travelling from further afield to combine train travel from both the east and west with the bus service. Depending on the train’s arrival time, passengers will have either 15 or 20 minutes to change to the bus.

The transfer takes place at the Svedala Stortorget bus stop, approximately a seven-minute walk from Svedala station.

Two new bus stops

Two new bus stops have been built at the airport: Svedala Hangarvägen and Malmö Airport. Svedala Hangarvägen also features a shelter where passengers can wait when travelling back towards Svedala.

Swedavia is also extending the pedestrian and cycle path to the bus stops to improve accessibility for Skånetrafiken passengers.
